起きたこと
Linux Foundation Training Portal からCKAの予約をしようとしたところ、以下のエラーが表示されました。
You are not eligible to take this exam at this time. You can only view locations or availability. If you have just Cancelled an exam please wait until you receive the Cancellation Confirmation email and try again. Eligibility exists but expires on (2021-01-06). Please select a date before the expiration date listed in order to schedule or contact customer service for more information.
試験の申し込みをしようとしたのが 2021-10-xx だったので 2021-01-06 が期限切れと出るのは納得できるのですが、ポータルの画面では 2021-12-04 が期限と表示されていたのでおかしな状況となっていました。
思い当たるところはあって、2020年にブラックマンデーか何かで購入した CKAD/CKA のセットバウチャーを買っており、CKAについては放置して期限切れにしていました。 そのCKAはスケジュールを申し込む途中処理のままで期限切れを起こした可能性があり、それが影響しているかもしれません。*1
解決方法
後述するPSIへのサポート依頼は無視され続けましたが、Linux Foundation のサポート から以下のような文面を送ったところ、即日で状態をクリアしてくれました。 *2
When I try to schedule CKA, I get the following error message and cannot proceed. My due date is December 04, 2021. It seems to me that I am still in a past state. Can you clear the status? — You are not eligible to take this exam at this time. You can only view locations or availability. If you have just Cancelled an exam please wait until you receive the Cancellation Confirmation email and try again. Eligibility exists but expires on (2021-01-06). Please select a date before the expiration date listed in order to schedule or contact customer service for more information. —
なおサポート依頼が通ると、Linux FoundationのJIRAに登録されて自分の依頼の状態が見えるようになりました。メールでの応答を想定していたのですが、こういったチケット管理システムを案内されると安心感があります。
ダメだった例
CKxの試験はPSIのロゴが目立つ examslocal.comのサイトで行いますが、ここのサポートにチャット、メールを数回、数日ほど間隔を空けて依頼を送りましたが、一向に反応がありませんでした。
エラー画面がこのサイト上で発生することもあり、ここのサポートを頼り続けてしまったのが失敗でしたね。。。 管理外ならせめて Linux Foundation への誘導を行ってくれてもよかったのではと感じています。
以下は画面左下からいつでも呼び出せるサポートへのコンタクト用ウィンドウです。ここに何度かエラー発生を確認してから依頼したが無反応でした。かなしみ。
